The 8 Mile... lol

On Saturday one of my bffs and I (shout out to my SHERBEAR!! lol) were both extremely bored so we decided to go to Habana Outpost to get some drinks and a bite to eat, and then planned to just go wherever the wind blew us.
Sidebar: If you've never been to Habana Outpost you should definitely check it out, its a really cool spot to hang out. I love it definitely also LC approved ;-).
So in the spur of the moment we decided... hey let's walk around and see where we end up. A few gazillion blocks later we end up at the Brooklyn Bridge... so we decide to walk across. Cute, we're bored, nothing to do... why not take the journey across together? Neither of us had done it before so it seemed like a good idea right?
Well sure it was, but we seemed to neglect the fact that after drinking a certain amount of mango margaritas our bladders would soon "need to be relieved"!! Halfway across the bridge we were both squirming like little four year olds with no place to potty lol. Middle of the bridge, too late to turn back. We compose ourselves and rush across the rest of the bridge to get to a bathroom AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!
When we do finally get off the bridge... the hunt for a public bathroom begins. We spent another 15 to 20 minutes (which feels like 3 hours in "you gotta go" time) searching for access to a bathroom. For all those that are wondering.... desperate times call for desperate measures, hmmm why not just pee in a corner?? Well that would've work only every decent well-hidden corner was occupied by a sleeping homeless person!!!!!!!!! Anywaysssss our ordeal came to an end as we were passing a restaurant/ lounge just as it was locking up for the night...the manager of the place let us come in and use the restrooms, but not without leaving us with a lil racist joke smh ("Is this the part where u come in with the guns, to stick us up?")

Needless to say the night was veryyy long and eventful (ended with us sitting in a 24hour Dunkin Donuts and "jammin" to the very loud music with our new friend aka the Dunkin Donuts employee lmao)... but I guess that's what happens when you're bored, with nothing to do on a Saturday night. Next time I think we'll just go catch a movie as opposed to walking the 8MILE!!!

Since Lupe doesn't even get a QUARTER of the play he deserves, I take it upon myself to give everyone a lil Lupe Fiasco every once in a while. So with that being said... it's time for a NEW LUPE ENTRY yay!!! I could really blog about him ALL day, but I won't lol.
A lot of the stuff I post is kinda old but the SAD part is most of you guys have probably never seen it anyway. I guess Lupe isn't "mainstream" enough to get a zillion trillion billion plays (like some artists *cough cough*) on the radio or BET and MTV. Anyways I hope u guys ENJOY!

Vanessa and Angela Simmons... Fabulous Fashionistas

I don't care what anyone says, I love these girls! I think they are both absolutely FABULOUS! As crazy as the Hollywood lifestyle can get I think these girls have maintained a level-head, and have done it with style and grace. They know how to be "IT girls" without OVER-DOING IT.

I ((heart)) these Fabulous Fashionistas... and I also love the positive image their family portrays on MTV's "Run's House" (especially since there aren't many positive images of African American families in the media).

Register to Vote!

I was speaking to a friend earlier today and I was surprised to hear that she still hadn't registered to vote. Election day is Nov. 4th but its still not too late to register! My fellow New Yorkers the last day to register is OCTOBER 10th (which also happens to be MY BIRTHDAY). So go out there and get registered; and on November 4th let your voice be heard!

I really like this song and I think the video is sooo sooo DoPe. First time I saw it I just had to shake my head. Everything the guy in the video says is so real! Anybody that has been in one of "those" relationships can identify.... well at least I know I can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luv it.

Superstay Gloss

A few months ago I purchased Maybelline's Superstay Gloss and now I'm addicted!! The color I chose was Beaming Blush (105), it has a nude look with a hint of pink and I absolutely LOVE it. They currently carry 16 different shades of the Superstay Gloss, so I'm sure there's something for everyone. The color basically lasts all day, you just need to reapply the shine extender throughout the day to keep it looking "poppy." I'm really picky when it comes to my lipgloss, I don't like it too sticky or stiff-feeling on my lips, I hate the ugly ring that some lipglosses can leave, and cheap lipgloss just feels nasty!! So if you're going to buy lipgloss from a drugstore this is your BEST BET and it'll only set you back about $10 (that's a STEAL)! Definitely LC Approved ;-)

Travis Barker and DJ AM injured in plane crash

Travis (I think he's sooooo cool) Barker and DJ AM are reported to be in critical condition after their private plane crashed last night in Columbia, South Carolina. Reports says that both Barker and AM suffered extensive burns. Four others also died in the accident. My condolences go out to the friends and family of those who passed away, and I pray that Trav and DJ AM make full recoveries!
